Ok, we’ll be honest. This is a short show this week. Not a lot to talk about as the January game drought continues. But what we lack in quantity, we make up for in quality. We discuss the games of 2008 that have us most excited, and dip into some CES related stories. Good times!
This week is a Final Fantasy spectacular! Mike prevents to much anticipated First (and Last) Annual Final Fantasy Awards. Ajguy joins in the fun too as the brothers Minotti venture into the world of Final Fantasy XI. Gaming news and the 411 on 411 round out the first Exploding Barrel of 2008!
At long last, the Best Ever this Year comes to an exciting conclusion as Mike and Ajguy reveal their games of the year. Leading up to the pulse quickening conclusion, our heroes take a fond look at back at some highs (and lows) of the games of 2007. With little news and practically no new releases, it’s over an hour of the games that we all love to play.
This week we get down and dirty with NPD numbers. That’s right, fanboys. You can’t argue with cold, hard facts. The game of the year countdown continues in the Best Ever – This Year. Plus, more Rock Band guitar woes, another PS3 firmware update, and a burn from Mr. Miyamoto himself.
This week continues the countdown to our game of the year edition of The Best Ever. The Gerstmann saga is finally dying down, so we get in some final words on the whole debacle. Plus, guitar controller drama, Final Fantasy galore, more Rock Band, and a very special birthday (with cake!).
This week we talk about what everyone else is talking about. That’s right; we talk about the Gamespot debacle. We also talk new Xbox features, a disappointing development in the Star Trek MMO, the games we played last week (because not much came out this week), and begin counting down to our game of the year. It’s the Best Ever… This Year.
This week we talk about the incredible experience that is Rock Band. Mass Effect has left us both transfixed, while Assassin’s Creed continues to impress. We discuss Xbox Live Arcade Titles and take a look at the some of the other articles to be found on 411.
This week we dive into an embarrassment of riches ranging from Super Mario Galaxy to Assassin’s Creed, with a little Smackdown vs. Raw for good measure. Movie licensed games are discussed, as is Mike’s disgust with reporting on guitar based game downloadable content (which we do this week). Everyone got the memo, right? We do this on Mondays now.
This week we almost spent more time playing games in stores than in our house thanks to demos of Super Mario Galaxy and Rock Band. As the last gen seems to finally be fading out, we discuss the best ever game from the PS2, GCN, Xbox era. More Final Fantasy, some Castlevania, and Hellgate: London round out this week’s played games.
