As hinted at in the last show, the Exploding Barrel Podcast now has a Twitter profile. Be sure to follow it so you can know when we’re recording, when the show goes up, and other golden nuggets of… tweetiness.
By now you may have noticed there is no show this week. We have been without internet all weekend due to some bad weather conditions. As such, we’re going to enjoy a holiday break. We’ll be back next weekend with our regular show, and we’ll begin our countdown to our games of the year. We here at EBP Headquarters hope you have a happy Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa!
…that I must say there will be no podcast this week. In a week in which Murphy’s Law has been in full effect, something got screwed up with the audio files and it just cannot be saved. So many apologies. Just so you know, we would have talked about the DSi, Mega Man 9, Sonic Chronicles, and I sort of won the quiz.
While I’m riding high and dry in Pittsburgh, Mike is currently looking at the next few days with no power. As such there will be no show this week (Though I may cobble something together. No promises!). Winds that came as a result of Hurricane Ike tore through northeast Ohio yesterday leaving ours and thousands of other homes without power due to trees falling on power lines and things of the such.
While that may be the extent of Ike’s damage to us, countless others have not been so fortunate in the area directly hit by the hurricane. I’m going to take this moment to focus our small but awesome community by asking you guys to help out those in need after a pretty rough hurricane season. Please donate to the Red Cross or your favorite charity to help those in need. We should be back in full force next week with an epic show for you all.

Between school starting, my move back to Pittsburgh, and other assorted craziness, Mike and I decided to give ourselves a special 1 year anniversary gift to celebrate 1 year of the Exploding Barrel Podcast; a week off. As we get settled into our new environments and schedules, we’ll be back with a vengeance. In the meantime, enjoy these final days of summer (for those of you who still have some) and play Castle Crashers tomorrow!

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know there will be a slight delay in the next episode’s release. We usually aim to have the podcast up by Tuesday morning (meaning we record Monday night by the latest), but various circumstances have prevented that. Instead, we’ll be recording this (Tuesday) morning, and posting the show sometime early in the arternoon.
This will be, of course, our 50th episode spectacular, so we hope you’ll all enjoy it. Again, pardon the short delay.

Now that we both have beaten Metal Gear Solid 4, this week we get into a meaty discussion covering all facets of the game. First, we do our normal show. News is spiced up with plenty of rumors, including some supposed details for Mega Man 9. Ajguy once again tries his luck at the Great American Ajguy Gaming Quiz. Then, after the normal show, we get into our lengthy MGS4 discussion. We’ve put it at the end so all of you who wish to avoid spoilers may do so easily.
